Jason is interested in buying a used Panda hybrid car because he heard of its incredible gas mileage. Jason collected data from listings on the Internet.

  1. Jason would like to know the typical cost of advertised Pandas. What kind of a graphical display should he use?

  2. What type of graph should be used to display the relationship between age and cost?

  3. Make a scatterplot of the data.

  4. Fully describe the association.

  5. Draw a line of best fit for the data. Find the equation of the line of best fit.

  6. Use the equation to predict the expected cost of a 6-year-old car.

  7. Interpret the slope and y-intercept in context.
